Golf Shot Distance Tracker
Improve your game with a golf shot distance tracker.
Track Your Golf Shot Distance
With the help of a golf shot distance tracker, golfers can track and analyze their shots to gain insights into their swing and make adjustments to improve their performance.
Golf shot distance trackers are state-of-the-art training devices that capture different points of data with every shot. This includes data on carry distance, total distance, spin rate, side total distance, attack angle, launch angle, ball speed, club speed, smash factor, club path, horizontal angle, apex height, side carry distance, spin axis, face angle, and face to path. By analyzing this data, golfers can gain insights into their swing and make adjustments to improve their performance.
Carry distance is the distance the ball travels through the air before touching the ground, and is a key baseline to use and adjust on-course based on conditions, to decide on your club selection. Total distance is the total distance the ball travels after it comes to rest (carry plus roll), and is impacted by factors such as spin, ground conditions, and other factors. Spin rate is the amount of revolutions of the golf ball generated instantly after impact, and is a significant factor in the flight, height, and rollout of your golf shot. Side total distance is the total left-right horizontal distance from the target line, and the greater the distance, the further from your target your ball has come to rest.
Attack angle is the amount the club path is moving vertically up or down towards the ball, and can impact the amount of spin on the ball. Launch angle is the initial vertical angle of the ball after impact, and can impact the ball’s carry and total distance. Ball speed is the speed of the golf ball immediately after impact, and is a key element to your distance that is optimized by proper impact. Club speed is the speed the club head is traveling just prior to impact, and can impact the potential for distance. Smash factor is the efficiency ratio calculated from ball speed divided by club head speed, and shows how efficiently you’re transferring energy from club to ball. Club path is the horizontal direction of the club head’s center prior to impact (in-to-out or out-to-in), and can impact the shape of your shot. Horizontal angle is the initial direction the ball starts left or right of the target line, and can impact the starting direction of your shot. Apex (height) is the maximum height that your ball reaches during flight, and can impact the carrying and landing angle of your shot. Side carry distance is the total left-right horizontal distance from the target line when it touches the ground, and can impact the accuracy of your shot.
